Let me introduce myself.
My name is Michael Jungen, I am 53 years old, born in Rotterdam, and since 1993 I have been living in The Hague.

When I was 16, back in 1986, my neighbors asked me if I was interested in becoming a crew member at Stichting T-Web in Hoogvliet, Rotterdam.
The idea was to help out on Saturday nights during the disco evenings called De Spin – collecting glasses, refilling the bar, and so on.
Of course, that was very exciting to do. Later, Friday nights at bar-dancing Piki were added as well.

After six months, I was asked if I wanted to play records one Sunday afternoon at an Antillean party from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM.
Naturally, I wanted to give it a try. I received a playlist from the guests, specifying what to play and in which order.
That Sunday afternoon sparked a flame in me that still burns to this day.

From that moment on, I continued and at the age of 18, I became the resident DJ for both Friday and Saturday nights at De Spin and Piki.
At home, I also bought turntables, speakers, and of course, records from shops like Midtown, Rhythm Import, and Hotsound.

After four years, I moved on to De Flamingo in Hoogvliet, where I played as a resident on Friday nights for another two years.
Until the age of 24, I was a resident DJ. During that time, I also had a drive-in show with a friend, performing at weddings and school parties.

Over the years, I was invited to play as a guest DJ at many clubs, including De Galaxy in Den Bosch, Demi-Sec in Spijkenisse,
Disco Carlton Oasis Hotel in Spijkenisse, and Nighttown in Rotterdam. In 1991, I participated in DJ mix competitions in South Holland, where I finished in third place.

Eventually, in 1996, I decided to stop. However, from 2003 until 2007, I had the opportunity to perform every year at the reunion of Stichting T-Web and
De Flamingo in November, together with other DJs from the past, including DJ Ricky Da Dragon.

Around 2008/2009, I bought turntables and records again and started DJing once more.
After two years, I sold everything again due to other commitments, but in 2022 I returned, this time digitally with DJ controllers.
And now, I play again with the same passion as before.

I enjoy many different music styles, and you can hear that in the sets I mix or even when I just play tracks freely.
At Dizgo Radio FM, I will try to take you on a journey through the music that plays in my head.
I hope to entertain you for one or two hours with a wide variety of sounds – whether it’s early house, reggae, tech-house,
80’s, 90’s, 2000’s, hard house, techno, or top 40 – mixed or un-mixed.
